Terms and Conditions FAQs

Quick answers about orders, cancellations, shipping terms and how disputes are handled

Can I cancel a bulk spice order after it has been confirmed?

Orders can generally be cancelled without penalty before production or procurement begins. Once a batch has entered processing or been booked for shipment, cancellation may be subject to a cancellation charge covering costs already incurred, such as raw material procurement, packing materials or freight booking fees.

Which country's law governs a contract with UnitedSpices?

All contracts and transactions with UnitedSpices.in are governed by the laws of India, and any dispute that cannot be resolved amicably or through mediation is subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts at Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu.

What Incoterms does UnitedSpices support for export shipments?

We support all commonly used Incoterms including FOB, CIF, CFR and EXW, and can accommodate DDP on request for select destinations. The applicable Incoterm, along with the associated risk transfer point, is confirmed in writing on every quotation and order confirmation.

What happens if a shipment is delayed due to a Force Majeure event?

Where a delay or failure to perform is caused by circumstances beyond our reasonable control — including natural disasters, port closures, strikes, government action or global supply disruptions — our obligations are suspended for the duration of the event and we will notify the buyer promptly with a revised timeline.

How are quality disputes or claims handled?

Any quality claim must be raised in writing within 7 days of container arrival, supported by photographic evidence, an independent inspection report and the original Certificate of Analysis. Verified claims are resolved through replacement, credit note or partial refund, in that order of preference.

Can UnitedSpices change these Terms and Conditions?

Yes. We may update these Terms and Conditions from time to time to reflect changes in our business practices or legal requirements. The revised version takes effect from the date of posting on this page, and continued use of our website or services constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
